THE WITNESS HEARD “BREAK SQUEAK OR CRASH”

7-year-old Mihraç Miroğlu has been found ‘primary negligent’ in the report prepared by the traffic police officers. Because of the crash, the bike Miroğlu was riding was torn into three pieces.

The only witness of the incident stated that they heard a loud brake squeak:

"While I was sitting in the garden, I heard a loud brake squeak or crash. The moment I heard the sound, I went out. When I went out, I saw an armored police car on the street. When I approached, I saw our neighbor Miraç Miroğlu lying in the right front seat. When I saw him like that I got scared and I stepped back. Then, I got on the back of the vehicle so that Miraç wouldn’t be afraid when he wakes up in the car. The police officers in the car were in a panic. ‘How did I not see the child? I don't know how he got in front of me,’ the driver kept saying. (...) I didn't see how the accident happened."
