The General Directorate of Migration Management of the Ministry of Interior cited the sharing of ‘eating banana’ videos as a reason, and announced that 7 asylum seekers will be deported.
In a street interview, a person assaulted a Syrian student by saying, “You are more comfortable than me, I can’t eat bananas, you people buy kilos of bananas from the markets.”
Following that, people shared their videos while eating bananas. Migration Management cited these videos as the reason for deportation.
Migration Management stated that “7 foreign national people were arrested” and announced that the deportation process will be started for the 7 people after the completion of the judicial procedures.
