Independent newspaper Özgürlükçü Demokrasi (Libertarian Democracy) that has under different names been publishing news that do not receive coverage in most of media outlets in Turkey for over two decades, have been target of a police raid after midnight, and trustee has been appointed to the newspaper.

Savings Deposit Insurance Fund lawyers have been informed that trustees have been appointed to Özgürlükçü Demokrasi which was printed as part of Engin Publishing Press Ltd. Co. and Gün Press Advertising Film Media Broadcast Co. During the raid at the newspaper headquarters, Erdoğan Zamur, Musa Kaya, İhsan Yaşar, Kemal Kürt and Cemal Tunç have been detained.
